Bethany Krull’s work stems from
her fascination with the complexity and diversity of the natural world, which
is coupled with the realization that our society is becoming increasingly
disconnected from nature. Working from the study of her own extensive
collection of natural objects she creates sculpture which aims to examine not
only the sheer formal and aesthetic beauty of nature but also, our own
species “ideas of nature”, and how these ideas can intersect each
other when viewed with in the contexts of art, science and religion.
